Growth in the New Year!
With the birth of a new year and ode to the growth of the company, Static Clean has taken on another engineering employee, Lee MacMillan. With a heavy focus of medical device and manufacturing in 2017 it only made sense to hire an engineering manager to lead the team to the next level.
Lee MacMillan resides in New Hampshire with his wife and two kids. His favorite pastime is playing the guitar. He fits right in with the sales team & engineers at Static Clean who formed a band ‘Guns and Nozzles’ that practice every Tuesday night.
Before life at Static Clean, Lee had his own business/machine shop for many years and did work as an outside contractor/supplier of machined parts to Static Clean for 15 plus years, until his company was acquired. At that point, he moved on to work for another company as lead engineer, while at the same time doing engineering side-work for Static Clean for the past two years.
A Perfect Fit
Knowing what a good fit Lee would be for the Static Clean team, we reached out to him to come on board full time about a year ago. This became a reality at the beginning of 2017. His first major project is a new engineering effort to replace the electronics, many of the existing sensors, and some of the mechanical elements of the Automated Medical “Clean and Pack” system . The goal is to achieve a significant reduction in cost and time to assemble, while increasing performance and features.
While Lee is still a new employee at Static Clean, his wealth of knowledge, ideas and contributions to the team have already made a huge impact. Lee will definitely help take Static Clean to the next level & continue to keep us a major player in the medical device community. He is a huge asset to our team.
